Our client needed extra space to live, as her family was moving into the existing house. The client engaged us to build a quality two-bedroom granny flat.
A 110m2, two-bedroom granny flat was built to the side of the existing dwelling on a 4171m2 block. With standard Vintage red face brick with corbelling and render above, this home gives the visitor a country home feeling with a modern touch. As you enter the home via the porched front door, the entryway opens onto a full-sized kitchen with island bench, country style sink, full sized pantry and fridge recess. An open plan lounge room opens onto a large alfresco area, running the width of the home.
Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes with siding doors to maximise space in the room. The bathroom is a cleaver combination of laundry, water closet, vanity and shower to enhance the use of space, without having to compromise on the size of the living area.
