In 2016 as owner builders we contracted a builder to do a home renovation to our 1960’s home addition and renovation to our property in Alfred Cove. The builder was just a rogue who pulled the wool over our eyes. He didn’t follow the plans which we had drawn up professionally. His work was dodgy and after 9 months of him being on site we asked him to pack up his tools and leave. We had a building engineer look at his workmanship and the build was structurally unsound and he took shortcuts and what we were left with was an half-finished house for the next two years. We looked at various options to get us out of this mess, we engaged Michael to fix up our renovation nightmare. Michael came to the rescue in 2018. Michael is a perfectionist and the build ran really smoothly from start to finish. Michael liaised regularly with us which was really great. His tradesmen were of a high standard with very good principles and respect for our property both inside and out. Michael was on site for the majority of the time and he was always available and prompt to deal with 24/7. He was on board with his tradespersons making sure everything was just so and of a high standard. We had always imagined an Alfresco area at the front of our property. Michael and Wade, who is Michael’s landscaper and horticulturist, had an innovative design for this additional project. They created a beautiful outside living space for us to enjoy with family and friends or just a place to relax for my husband and I. We now have a lovely outdoor area with an outdoor kitchen and a pergola. The area has been paved in recycled bricks and it’s gold. The garden has been landscaped and reticulated and there is a feature garden bed using the recycled bricks that turns heads to the passers-by. Wade did the plant selection creating a theme to go with the outside space. Everyone says it looks amazing. We have not lost one plant yet even throughout the summer months. The plants are hardy and healthy. We are so happy with the renovation and the whole process. Even Michael’s wife, Michelle, played her part in the final result by cleaning the windows and the house ready for us to move in. In October last year the house was turnkey. When we arrived before we moved back in the house actually brought tears to our eyes. We finally had a beautiful home to live in. It was a long journey but thanks to Michael, we got there. Recently a friend came to visit and said it looks like a display home. Thank you so much Michael Sharp, you are a craftsman and would recommend Aspire Homes and Renovations to anyone who is looking to renovate or to build a new home. Your business will always be successful given the high standard of workmanship you display and your personal and professionalism.
